How much does a roof cost?

That’s exactly why we don’t quote roofs over the phone. Until we’ve been on your roof and in your attic, we don’t know:
- how many layers of shingles are up there now
- what accessories your roof needs
- the condition of your decking
- the size of your roof
- the shingle you’ll choose
- the color you’ll choose
- whether your ventilation is right, or needs to change
So be very suspicious of anyone who gives you a canned price, or even an “average” price. There’s no such thing as an average roof.
It’s like a doctor telling you, “On average, this is what it costs to cure your condition.” You wouldn’t accept that from a doctor. Don’t accept it from a roofer.
